I’m 18 and I don’t really get morning wood at all. Only time I do is when my bladder is full when I wake up, because thats what the body does to hold in piss while sleeping.

When I was a bit younger I would get it more often.

Is this normal? Or should I look into it

When I used to smoke cigarettes ., I wouldnt get morning wood .

If I fap a lot , then zero morning wood .

And i am 24 btw.

To me , it seems like a lifestyle issue

If you're not getting morning wood at your age (high schooler), there's a problem, potentially a serious one.

Have I been sick for 10+ years?

In addition to seeing a physician, you can also order a testosterone test ahead of the visit to see if there's anything abnormal there. Of course, ideally you want a physician interpreting the results and prescribing follow-on actions.

There's online services that provide the lab orders and you just schedule an appointment at a lab (ex. Quest Diagnostics).

I've done blood testing for "Testosterone, Free (Dialysis) and Total MS". Cost me about $45 or so, not too bad.

Woah. I hope its not a serious problem. I was expecting a lot of “Nah, don’t worry about it” ‘s.

I dont:

- Smoke
- Drink
- Do Drugs
- Have mental health issues (Anxiety maybe but I doubt it)


I should drink more water yeah, but I think I drink enough that it shouldnt cause a serious issue. And I sleep 7 hours every night.

I have wet dreams often

I get a lot of exercise (Could def use more cardio)

I have no problems having erections during sex.

( However I feel like they should be way stronger than they are now. And I get soft quickly if I’m not getting direct stimulation to it. ex: I’m eating her out)

I used to a lot (2-3 times daily).

I’ve reduced it to around once every 2-3 weeks since the start of this year. I masturbate like once a week while holding in my sperm.

I went without porn for a whole month recently as well. No difference in morning wood.


The one time I did have morning wood recently was shortly after I started doing sexual kung fu, but I havent been consistent with my practice. May have to start that up again.

I also got more erections in general when I did Chases “Picture the conquest” thing where you look at girls you see in person and imagine fucking them. I’ll start that up again as well

7 isn't really enough for most people. 8 is the general reccomendation. I do 8 and a half if I really want to be vibrant. That extra hour or more can make a world of difference. losing an hour consistently many nights in a row adds up.

Also the quality of sleep is important. Having a regular sleep schedule so your body can get into a natural rhythm ever night and morning.

Reduce screen time and/or music at least an hour and a half before bed. if not 2. Low light only in the room at least a half hour before bed. do quiet calming meditation/breathing (alternate nostril breathing techniques are great to prep the mind for sleep) for 10-15 minutes right before bed.

Watch the quality of your sleep sky rocket, and maybe even night time erections

I'll tell you something-I wish I was horny enough to be having wet dreams. I can go weeks without masturbating and I won't have one. I used to-though a separate story that I accidentally trained myself to wake up from a wet dream before cumming to avoid having to clean myself lol.

If you're working out, lacking in bad habits, having wet dreams around once a week, and you're not having issues with erections when fucking, I don't think you have anything to worry about. You also seem to have no issues getting hard while imagining girls sexually-I used to have a bit of trouble with that and it's started coming back harder.

Get the T test (both total and free T), just to ease your mind. For what it's worth maybe get the lipid panel as well, since HDL/LDL/triglycerides can sometimes indicate things as well.

Once that's normal, see if there's a difference in hardness between masturbating with porn vs without. If they're different, and you're 100% hard with porn, I think that would indicate the problem is more psychological/mental in nature.

You could also always try dietary changes. I would suggest increasing the amount of fat in your diet-good fats (extra virgin cold pressed olive oil, extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil, wild caught cod liver oil-though be careful not to OD on vitamin A with that, grass fed+grass finished A2 butter). The dietary supplements I like (cacao powder-this one I like bc it seems to have lower amounts of heavy metals, maca-make sure to buy Peruvian, not Chinese, and adding nitric oxide to diet-beets, arugula, cruciferous vegetables-this is concentrated beet juice powder, but from experience it tastes fucking disgusting..., Tim Ferris swears by Brazil Nuts, and I use them as well...).

Here's something to try:

Sleep naked with an extra pillow as your pillow wife.

If you're waking up with a hard-on humping your pillow, problem solved.

Every time I find myself going, "Where's my morning wood?" it's usually when I'm wearing too much clothes to bed.

Just boxers = usually morning wood.

Butt naked = always morning wood.

Butt naked + humping the pillow = that pillow's getting it good in the morning.

Substitute "hot, naked girl with her ass against your naked cock" for "pillow wife" where convenient.

I think that would indicate the problem is more psychological/mental in nature.

I’m almost 100% sure its psychological, which is why I’m not too worried about the testing stuff (though I should check anyway). A few weeks ago I was doing sexual meditation I was getting hard so easily when girls were around I was almost getting annoyed. I was telling my dick to calm down.

I really wish I had just maintained that

Right now I actually have an issue. It’s definitely psychological though because like I said before I was getting hard like crazy when I did meditation.

The reason I’m worried is cuz I started doing meditation again, but its not working as well. I must have been doing something in my meditation back then that I’m not doing now. I dont know how exactly I conditioned myself before
