Hell yesss.... And Quantum Of Solace was sweet as well. The newer Bond flicks are great. Daniel Craig is phenomenal. Saw the most recent one (Skyfall) and didn't feel it was up to par with the others of recent, but still very good.

1. Christian Bale in American Psycho (Complex, Cut-throat, Selfish)
2. Sean Connery in From Russia with Love (Smooth, Sexual)
3. Ryan Reynolds in Van Wilder (Fun-loving)

Those three movies have my favorite male leads. I actually do not enjoy watching Daniel Craig in the newer Bond flicks. The action sequences are good, the Bond girls are hot, he's got amazing fundamentals, but the dialogue absolutely bores me to tears.

I enjoy almost anything by Quentin Tarantino. My favorites would be Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, and Reservoir Dogs.

I don't think any of those are that great for learning seduction, except for maybe Bruce Willis, John Travolta, and Samuel L. Jackson (his serious, Byronic side) in Pulp Fiction.

As far as seduction, I agree with PrettyDecent on Casino Royale, absolutely fantastic. Brad Pitt and George Clooney do an excellent job of being sexy, but not that many movies I like, except for Troy and O Brother, Where Art Thou?.

Ah, I almost forgot Looper. Joseph Gordon-Levitt can be one sexy man. James Franco can be pretty damn sexy too, but most of his movies don't portray that side (like 127 Hours).

Even though it's not a manly movie, Jude Law exhibits some brilliant fundamentals (facial, etc.) in the Holiday (recently watched it in December, so on my mind).

I don't have a favorite, but the first that comes to mind is "The Dark Knight."
The black knight rarely removes their armor. In it they are protected from all harm. A trusted few are allowed to see the knight beneath. However cool their demeanor, though, the black knight is just as human as any other man.

Fun subject.

Well I like most movies from the eighties or ninetees from Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Van Damme, Mel Gibson etc.

But there is one movie which has always been absolutely magic for me: Conan the Barbarian. The incredible musical score, Schwarzeneggers imposing looks after he has done his sword kata after his apparant death and recovery. Nothing resonates as much with me as that scene.

Good one Fuck This.

I would add to this list just about any John Wayne movie. His relationship management skills and the way he naturally treats women (like little girls and puts them in place but still respects and cares for them... unless they dont deserve it) is absolutely a case study to watch and learn from.

Here are some good starters:
Hondo
The Quiet Man
McClintock
Legend of The Lost
In Old California (more young/naive/respectful here)

And pretty much any movie with John Wayne featuring a female lead is bound to be good.

What I really enjoy in movies is when they depict the transition from boyhood to manhood, yet I find most movies to be too politically charged to give a non-biased or morally neutral view on this matter.

Recently I watched They Live which is a fun movie for when you want to identify on which "side" of societal conflicts you want to position yourself, though it shows evil people as robots ruling the world by 2025 and leaves no room for neutrals (which are all dead except a few unorganised, yet good-willed terrorists, bringing their kids to terrorist meetings) and implies only the crusader-like heroes who start their revenge crusades as soon as they learn about the truth at age 30 can be real men. I love conspiracy movies.
Dark Knight I find a great archetypical work of art.
The Tree of Life goes deep into father-son relationships and how that forms you as a man. One review I read said something like you either get this movie and cry throughout, or think it's trash and see it as arthouse crap.
And The Godfather series does a great deal of covering ground on family, mentorship, coming-of-age (in a non-high school kind of way), business and life.

I wouldn't say it's my favourite, but I found His Girl Friday to be a good example of a carefree man handling a fickle woman with ease and wit.

@Zap. His girl friday thats with Cary Grant and there both newspaper execs? Thats a funny one. Ya a few good takeaways there. Does a lot of AMOGing to the chump husband but all in good spirit (he knows she's not gonna be happy with that chump and he's gonna show her).

Donovans Reef with John Wayne is really good in taming a finicky broad. If you like His Girl Friday you'll get a kick outta Donovans Reef.

Another good one with cary grant is "An affair to remember". Good cold approach scene pulling her back to his room.

@Mr. Rob: Thanks, I'll check out those tips. Charade is also on my watch list, I've been told it's another good Cary Grant display of how to deal with women.

Just finished watching Charade. It's really something else. He has the woman chasing him the entire film, and he's just doing his thing and enjoying himself throughout, drawing the woman in like a magnet. Absolutely lovely! A very different approach from His Girl Friday, but he's older in this one, so he uses a different vibe.
