Hey gents,

Two gigs we're hiring for right now:

  • Graphics Editor (images guy)
  • Keyword Classifier (spreadsheet guy)

First is a long-term gig; second is a short-term gig.

Details on each:

GRAPHICS EDITOR

Duration: long-term

We need someone on the team who can do images for articles.

We've hired a few folks for this over the years but haven't been all that lucky finding someone with just the right eye. Usually it is either BT (our lead editor/publisher) or me doing images instead.

Think you've got what it takes to pick and put together images for Girls Chase?

You'll need a copy of and some skill with Photoshop or a similar image-editing program (GIMP, etc.).

You'll mostly be sourcing your images from stock photo sites (predominantly Fotolia).

We have instructions on how to make, size, compress images, etc. Main thing we need from you is a great eye for images and the ability to pick images that go well with what the author is expressing at various points in an article.

Role is flexible... somewhere between 2-5 or so hours per week. Though faster turnaround time is preferred - you get an article in your inbox, pick the images for them, make any adjustments you need to make, and send article + images to the next guy in the editing queue.

It's a long-term role. So only apply to this role if you want to do it forever. If you'll graduate college in two years and get busy with work and a social life, or what have you, this is probably not the right role for you (see the next role in this post).

Qualified? Interested? Let me know at hiring@girlschase.com (with some details about why we should get YOU on this project!)

KEYWORD CLASSIFIER

Duration: short-term

Want to have some control over the content GC produces over the next few years?

We have an enormous (and I mean enormous... 48,000 lines enormous) spreadsheet filled with keyword phrases we're putting together to help guide Girls Chase authors and video creators (we're gearing up the YouTube channel and have signed a few guys for this) create content targeted to what guys are searching for and looking to find.

The list we have is probably about 15% good stuff and 85% junk though... and now we need a guy (or, more likely, givent the size of the list, guys) to go through it and label which phrases are worth targeting GC articles and videos at, which are the "maybes", and which ones are the "definitely not"s.

Kind of a boring job, but if you want a little extra coin and have some time to burn, this one's easy enough.

You'll be going down the list, marking terms as either "yes" (if they're definitely/almost definitely something we could/should talk about), "no" (definitely not something for us to waste time on), "maybe" (if they could be... possibly), or "unknown" (if you just have no idea what this term is talking about or why someone would search for this).

Here are four real-life examples:

  • "good pick up lines" - yes
  • "why is he ignoring my texts" - no
  • "do girls have dicks" - maybe
  • "im a man im 40" - unknown

Those are all really things people are searching for on the Internet.

List is crazier than that. Some of the stuff in there will blow your mind...

Want to belt out some "yes"es and "no"es and "what the heck are these people thinking - unknown!"s on a spreadsheet? Drop us a line at hiring@girlschase.com and let us know if you've ever used a spreadsheet before (and are able to tell the difference between keyword phrases like "good pick up lines" vs. "im a man im 40" and why one of those would be worth targeting for us and the other one not so much).
