Don't ignore it. Address the nuance in private, alone. But understand that because we all live and we all tend to pretend that life is forward, we will try to influence each other unconsciously.
Example of forward thinking bullshit. You might think something is amiss but marriage is awesome, says everyone..... until you did it and then you will say, fuck God and everybody.
The society will blame you for it. This is where you will unfortunately, fight this idiotic battles. But remember, it is always about them. People are stupid.
